If you are not experienced you can draw main parts of maze on the floor. If you get skilled next time you will need where to start and the maze can be build just from a plan.
Building of the maze can take half a day or a day, depending how long do you have to wait for transport and how skilled is the driver of the Manitou or forklift. And usually they are very skilled.
You have to plan in advance, where to start and how to proceed, because the CAR will not be able to go back to some places if the maze/straw bales will be in way.
Before you start building a maze, you have to agree with the driver, on signals, so that he would know if he has to place the bale on flat or on the edge – then he/she will know how to take the bale.
(It can happen, that if the bales are stored on top of each other and he takes the top bale (it can accidentally capture the string of the lower bale and it can brake, if one string of big bale brakes, the bale is still usable)
First, unloading fast all the big bales from the open tractor trailer to one temporary storage space, then the bales are carried to the final position by a forklift or “Manitou”. The guide is showing exact place with agreed signals and gestures.
Apperciacion of the result, together with the driver. Note the small bale used as a step.
